|#ResponsibleJournalism or 'Fake News?'|
We thought so!
Use of the term 'fake news' has spiked this year. It's been used to refer to anything from incomplete or mistaken reporting, misleading advertising or politicians making exaggerated claims to news reports the subject simply finds disagreeable.
Alarmingly, a recent survey showed 46% of the American public believes news organizations fabricate stories about the current administration.
RTDNA knows that every day across America, countless radio, television and digital newsrooms are seeking and reporting truth according to our Code of Ethics, not making up stories. We formed our Voice of the First Amendment Task Force to support journalists like you.
Now we need your help with the Task Force's second aim: to educate the public about the importance of a free press to our democracy.
